Keyonda & Alfred McQuarters, Pastors

"Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called..." Romans 8:30
Born and raised in the Garfield Park Community on the West Side of Chicago, Keyonda McQuarters attended pre-school (Terry Town Nursery), elementary (Samuel F.B. Morse), and junior high (J. Sterling Morton) in East Garfield Park. She left the area to complete both undergraduate and graduate studies at Michigan State University (Lansing, MI) as a political science and urban studies major. Her thesis was completed in Southeast Detroit as well as overseas in Southeast Asia looking at political, cultural, and economic processes and issues that impact and unite urban areas. A former public school educator, director of workforce development and case manager, and liaison for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority she brings experience in early childhood education, homeless issues, welfare to work programs, affordable housing, and community economic development activities.

Keyonda has spent the last fifteen years actively involved in ministry and carrying out her call to serve in her local assembly. She also attended Oral Roberts University Graduate School of Theology & Missions (Tulsa, OK) and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland University Theological Seminary (Ashland, OH). Well trained in the Biblical languages and exegetical knowledge, she is a Christian apologist deeply committed to equipping leaders for the work of ministry. A licensed and ordained Elder she has served as a children's program director, a youth pastor, director of women's ministry, and as pastor over cell-group ministry. In addition to being a contributing writer for the UMI (Urban Ministries, Inc) Annual Commentary, "Precepts for Living," she hosted her very own weekly radio show, "Keys to Living with Keyonda McQuarters", designed to link people with the Word of God that they may see Christ in their everyday lives.

Following years of higher education and personal development, she has returned to the West Side of Chicago to share her talents and gifts in her community. Keyonda's distinct method of teaching and preaching serves one purpose: to help all who hear her to develop a more intimate relationship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ. At C3, Keyonda serves as Lead Pastor. As Lead Pastor she oversees the vision of C3 and the spiritual formation for the Pastoral Team. She remains obedient to the voice of the Lord. She is daily in the presence of God, seeking His guidance and requesting His wisdom that she may minister His word with signs, wonders and miracles following.

Keyonda is married to Alfred McQuarters, who serves as Executive Pastor and oversees church administration, organization, strategic planning, and leadership recruitment. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Alfred completed undergraduate and graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) and Howard University (Washington, DC) in Molecular & Cell Biology.
